According to a new article from the National Journal (via Yahoo! News), Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum discusses our education system to Glenn Beck (another complete idiot).
Here's what I get out of the article:
- Education is meant to broaden horizons. Students can choose a lot of their college curriculum and no matter what classes they take, they'll hopefully become more educated in the process. This has nothing to do with religion.
- Taking government out education will mean funding will significantly decrease or cease entirely. The government doesn't provide subsidy without oversight.
- This guy's for "No Child Left Behind," which is a complete disaster. How can we keep up in this global race when failed education plans will be reinstated?
- Running for president is God's will? Are we invoking "divine right" into our political system?
- The Huffington Post has written documentation that Santorum was not always pro-life. How can he refute his own opinion? We're talking about Republican Presidential Candidates. Flipping opinion is something he and Mitt Romney have in common.
To the American People:
Take it from experience; I lived in Pennsylvania when this guy was in the Senate. There was a reason he lost his seat by 18 percentage points.
